The data is provided to Lab24 by FinScience, a fintech company of the Datrix Group. The polling data is to be taken with particular caution because according to the American electoral system, the delegate vote at the state level is decisive.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, but not that of the big voters. Therefore, Trump became president.

How popular are Biden, Harris and Trump? Finscience extracts this data by analysing the spread of news about the candidates on social networks. In parallel, the analysis looks at 'sentiment', i.e. the tone of the news in relation to the candidates.
In general, the sentiment of politicians tends to be very negative as mostly negative news is shared. However, the data can be useful to make a comparison between the two candidates. The investment sectors closest to the two candidates also emerge.
